The lowest-paid 10 per cent of workers in Manchester have to survive on less than £6,500 a year. It’s time for a Manchester Living Wage.
Lucy Powell, Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Manchester Central, is urging the Government to engage with local government and businesses to work out how a Manchester living wage of £7.22 can be brought into effect to tackle low pay in the city.
She has pledged to make it a key part of her campaign ‘Putting Manchester First’.
We’re calling for Mancunians to join our campaign for a Manchester Living Wage by signing a petition calling for it’s introduction. Please take a moment to sign and help us tackle low pay & send a message to this Tory-led Government.
